TGIF doesn’t stand for ‘Thank God It’s Friday’. Just for today, I am changing it to: ‘Today God Is First’.
The Friday before the Easter Sunday is when Christians commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death at Mt. Calvary.
Today, at our church, activities were done to realize the purpose of this Holy holiday. Like yesterday(Maundy Thursday), a mass was celebrated and there was a re-enactment of sending Jesus into the tomb cave.
My day ended with a final visit to the tomb cave replica for a vigil with my family.
Jesus being crucified infront of men is just so meaningful to me. I will forever live the lessons this holiday has taught me. Each day, I hope to learn more of Him and be closer to Him, the Almighty Father and Mary.
